Another important change for anyone starting to think about the 2026 UK exams. The PEB has indicated that the proposed new Final Diploma examination format is being put on hold while the accreditation process continues.
This means that the 2026 Final Diploma examinations are expected to remain in the same format as the 2025 examinations, rather than moving to the substantially revised format that had previously been proposed.
For FD4 candidates in particular, that means continuing to prepare for the existing five-hour examination rather than the proposed shorter examination with pre-release material. We will keep an eye on the PEB announcements as the 2026 arrangements are finalised.
