Well, the enormous news is that the Governance Board of the Patent Examination Board (PEB) has decided that the proposed changes to the Qualifying Examinations Final Diploma will NOT be implemented in the 2025 examination session. This means that the first examinations for the revised FD syllabi will now take place in 2026. The PEB said that "A significant number of feedback responses highlighted the need for candidates to have sufficient time to prepare for new-style examinations. The PEB is very much aware that candidates and employers need clarity and certainty about the implementation of the changes." We are going to roll back some of our changes to our course materials to reflect that candidates will get one more chance to take the old-style exam this year, but will be able to train candidates for the new style exams for 2026.
